5th March 2016

Cairns Model Aero Club would like to say a special thanks to
Councillor John Schilling and all of the fantastic team at
Cairns Regional Council  for the great work and effort in finding a home base for our club. It has been a long struggle over many years and these people have finally made it all happen for us. While we wait to take possession of our permanent home in Thompsons Road   (approximately mid next year) the team have managed to find us a fantastic site at Hickling Access Gordonvale which allows our club to continue to operate until the change of venue.

All of our members have spent many hours building and maintaining our Radio Controlled models and have outlaid a lot of money to stay current in the sport. We understand and recognise the great efforts that have been made in order to make this happen.
Many, many thanks to all the team.

The club has had its first official flying day with a dedication to the great WARBIRDS.

A few Photos of the day....

An aerial shot of the field

Fantastic start for the new site.

All this made possible by Councillor John Schilling and the Cairns Regional Council.

We hope to see you out enjoying the flying one day....
